Typical Operations
Identify a nest, Identify an egg, Browse the nest and egg photos, Bird List

Functions include

• Sound - play the call of each bird in the list.
• List Operations - save the filtered list, export the filtered list or return the filtered list to the identification module.
• Pre-filter - select a habitat, distribution or use the ID module to pre-filter you list.
• Clear - clears all filters that are presently selected and returns filtered list to full Southern Africa list.
• Return - takes user to the previously used module.

Typical Operations

• Identify a nest
  The aim is to use the nest characteristic key and other filters to help identify a nest that you found in the field. The [Pre-filter] function allows you to narrow down you choice of nests by selecting the habitat and distribution (area) you were in. The nest characteristics have examples which can be viewed before being selected.

• Identify an egg
  The aim is to use egg characteristic key and other filters to help identify an egg that you found in the field. The [Pre-filter] function allows you to narrow down you choice of eggs by selecting the habitat and distribution (area) you were in. The egg characteristics have examples which can be viewed before being selected.
   
• Browse the nest and egg photos
  This operation will help you learn you nests and eggs. You can select a bird in the list and view its nests and egg photographs or use the Identification module to view the photographs.
   
• Bird List
  After filtering the list, you are able to save the list, export the list or use the list in another module. You can also print out the filtered list.
