How to download the Ringtone on a Blackberry.

To find the Blackberry OS version

  1. Press the BB button
  2. Go to Options
  3. Go to About
  4. You will find the version on the third line from the top.

OS5 Instructions

To check if phone is configured to receive the ringtone messages
  1. BB key
  2. Options
  3. Advanced Options
  4. Browser Push
  5. Check that Push, MDS Push and WAP Push is enabled.
To Go to the Push Inbox
  1. Open Messages
  2. Press BB Key
  3. Select "View folder"
  4. Select WAP Push Messages
To download the ringtones do the following
  1. Open the sms/email
  2. Highlight the internet link
  3. Press the BB button
  4. Select “Open Link”
If this does not work, do the following
  1. Open the sms/email
  2. Copy the link
  3. Open the web browser, NOT THE DEFAULT BLACKBERRY BROWSER
  4. Paste the link and go to it.

OS6/7 instructions

To check if phone is configured to receive the ringtone messages
  1. Select options folder
  2. Scroll down and select Device
  3. Select advanced systems settings
  4. Select Browser Push
  5. Check settings
To Download ringtone
  1. Open message folder
  2. Push the BB Button
  3. Scroll down to view folder and select
  4. Scroll down to Wap push messages
  5. Open ringtone message
  6. Push BB Button
  7. Click select text
  8. Move cursor to beginning of link
  9. Push BB Button
  10. Click start selection
  11. Highlight link
  12. Click BB Button
  13. Select copy
  14. Close options folder
  15. Open browser
  16. Paste link into browser
  17. Save ringtone in media folder
