OUDE DENNEBOOM
We have an abundance of animal- and bird life on our wine farm in the exciting Voor-Paardeberg
wine ward, which lies between Paarl and Malmesbury. In addition to the smaller species,
you can enjoy the company of Bontebok, Eland, Springbok, Gemsbok, Wildebeest and
Zebra. It is a bird watcher's paradise with a large number of different bird
species, especially waterfowl, on our large dam.
Our 4-Star cottage, which was built in the early 1800's, was recently restored
and is in the veld, surrounded by large trees and beautiful scenery. It is self-catering,
which means that we provide virtually everything except food and drink, but we can
also arrange that if required. You'll have two en suite bedrooms, one with a
double bed and the other with two single beds. There is a fully equipped kitchen,
living area and a large traditional fireplace.
Enjoy the tranquility and privacy of your own luxury cottage while you enjoy birding,
or go fishing for blue kurper, ride your mountain bike in the reserve and
on the farm, take wonderful photos, row on the dam or go wine tasting on the Paarl
wine route.
Our farm is 12 km from Paarl, 40 km from Stellenbosch, 70 km from Cape Town.
Contact us for more information, rates and bookings through our website (www.oudedenneboom.co.za), or email us at

also welcome to call us at +27 (0)21 853 4839. Visitors can check in from 15:00
and check out time on your last day is 12:00, but depending on circumstances, we
can be flexible .

Wonderlings B&B is an
established 4-star B&B, picturesquely poised between the sea and the mountains,
in the quiet village of Rooi Els. Your hosts, Jenny and Koos, are retired academics
who will welcome you to their architect-designed home that incorporates a private
entrance to one of 2 upstairs suites, positioned to exploit the breathtaking view
over their fynbos garden and False Bay. Just over an hours drive from Cape Town,
the setting is spectacular and the birding relatively easy. As part of the Kogelberg
Biosphere Reserve and within the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom, the area comprises
a botanically diverse selection of fynbos, and incorporates habitats from tidal
zone through mountain fynbos to
rugged cliffs. Specials such as the Cape Sugarbid, various sunbirds, Cape Bulbul
and Cape Rock-thrush regularly visit our garden and can be seen from the comfort
of your balcony. An easy walk along a gravel road brings you to one of the best
places to find and photograph the charismatic Cape Rock-jumper, and a stroll along
the sea will be rewarded with sightings of the rocky shore and pelagic species,
sometimes in large numbers.
