Pigeon Valley

Pigeon Valley

Pigeon Valley is situated in central Durban just below the University of natal. For a small patch of indigenous forest, it presents a good variety of forest species, including Black Sparrowhawk, Buff-spotted Flufftail, Narina Trogon, White-eared Barbet, Green Twinspot, and in winter, Spotted Ground-Thrush.

Access is from Princess Alice Avenue, onto a broad central path (½ hr), or circular trail (1hr). Gate times are 7.30am to 4.30pm.
